About and methodology
Useful intelligence, with the boundaries kept clear.
Hoyas.ai helps people discover credible AI activity connected to Georgetown and the Washington region. It does not speak for Georgetown University.
Why this exists
Georgetown-related AI work spans schools, centers, classrooms, research programs, events, and alumni communities. Regional activity adds another layer. The information is valuable, but difficult to follow across many separate sources.
What we publish
Hoyas.ai publishes concise briefings, events, and practical resources that have a clear source and a plausible use for students, faculty, staff, alumni, or DMV neighbors.
How information moves
- Potential items enter a private research and monitoring system
- Consequential claims are checked against original institutional or organizer sources
- Public records receive a scope, source, verification date, audience, and expiration rule
- Changes are reviewed in a protected preview before publication
- Expired events are archived, and corrections are made transparently
Our boundaries
- Georgetown-hosted activity stays distinct from relevant DMV activity
- An event, speaker, or nearby organization is not described as a Georgetown partner without evidence
- Confirmed facts stay distinct from interpretation and recommendations
- Private relationship, contact, and working data do not move automatically to the public site
Editorial rhythm
Hoyas.ai uses a lightweight maintenance cycle designed for a small team:
- Review event dates and remove or archive expired listings each week
- Check resource links and material program changes twice each month
- Review audience and topic gaps monthly
- Publish consequential corrections or source changes as they are confirmed
This cadence is an operating target, not a guarantee of completeness. Every public item shows when Hoyas.ai last verified it.
Corrections
A public corrections channel will be added before Hoyas.ai begins accepting community submissions. Until then, the original linked source should be treated as authoritative.
